Street Creep is a heavy hitting rock n’ roll band, formed when brothers Amaal and Nikhil Dass decided it was time to bring hard rock back to its rightful, aggressive place. Drawing on riff-based 70s and 80s rock vibes and modern flavors, Street Creep brings audiences something that sounds fresh while feeling familiar.

Amaal and Nikhil have been playing music together ever since they first picked up their individual instruments. Amaal recruited Nikhil’s services in bands when they were younger, but for several years they each struck out on their own, trying to start bands in their communities. Nothing seemed to work particularly well, and they didn’t feel that they were creating and playing music that felt fulfilling to either of them. Throughout all this, there was talk of them starting a new project together, something in which their collective vision for their preferred blend of new hard rock might be realized. In late 2018 that finally happened, after a vacation that proved an unlikely source of inspiration and clarity. From there it was on—Nikhil busted out a couple of brand new guitar riffs, and when Amaal sat down behind the drums to jam them, the Street Creep sound was born.

Recently Street Creep has been hard at work recording some of these riffs and writing new songs. The first of these is an upbeat number called “Faraway Friend,” about, well, just that (more or less). They’re looking to release more of these rockin’ tunes soon; look for it in 2023.
